Southern Roots & New Offshoots broadcasts statewide the first Thursday of each month on the SC-ETV radio program ConversationsWithJoan at 6:30 p.m.
Tune-in as host Jack McCray welcomes guests from the American South to share and discuss their music, their personal history, and other items of intrigue. Stanfield Gray is the Executive Director of the South Carolina Music Hall of Fame Initiative and Director of Media Relations and Event Marketing at the the College of Charleston. Gray also teaches Introduction to Music Management at the College.

GRADUATE ASSISTANT EXTRAORDINAIRE
Alix Refshauge is an artist from Spartanburg, South Carolina. She graduated from Furman University in 2000 with a BA in studio art. She spent the next two years painting and faux painting in Spartanburg. In 2002, she moved to New York City to work for Christies Auction House. After a year with the 19th Century European Furniture Department, she was offered a job with Burton Snowboards to travel the globe and work as a personal assistant to Jake Burton. After a year of travel, she returned to Spartanburg to paint and organize art shows. Currently, Alix is pursing her MPA in Arts Management at the College of Charleston and interning with “Southern Roots and New Offshoots.”
